On an OriginalLine machine, the pod is pierced top and bottom as it brews. If nothing comes out, or the machine strains:

- Check the pod is seated and the lever fully closed.

Refillable Pod Leaking Around the Rim
Coffee or water escaping around the edge of the pod points to a seal problem.
Fix:

- Press the lid or foil evenly all the way around.
- Don't overfill; an overfilled pod can't close cleanly.
